construction of water tanks and piping system around the holy shrine of Imam Ali started on 4/15/2004 and was unveiled on 3/11/2010
The first water tank with a capacity of 2000 cubic meters and with an engine room was built between 2005/30/30 and 9/21/2005. reconstruction headquarters participated in this project.
The second tank with a capacity of 2000 cubic meters was built at the end of Tusi Street from 10/6/2009 to 11/3/2010.
The second phase of the project was Piping and plumbing water from the main reservoir of Najaf at a distance of 17 km with a length of 6.5 km and thickness of 8 inches to the holy shrine. This project started in 2003 and finished in 2007 with the participation of reconstruction headquarters.
The third phase of the project was Piping and plumbing the circular area around the holy shrine. The excavation was done and 18-inch pipes were fitted on the ground. This project started on 7/28/2005 and finished on 11/10/2005 with the participation of Reconstruction Headquarters(atabat).
